This website is built with MkDocs and Material for MkDocs.
MkDocs is normally used to build documentation, but the popular theme Material for MkDocs includes a plugin that also lets you build blogs, similar to static site generators such as Hugo.
If you've ever seen documentation hosted with Read the Docs: MkDocs is what actually generates the website from the Markdown files. Read the Docs is what automates that process and hosts the website.
I use Netlify instead of Read the Docs to host my blog because I'm building a blog, not documentation, and thus don't need many features of Read the Docs.
I bought my domain davidculley.com from Porkbun.
